ATV & Side by Side Rental
Take the adventurous route to explore the surroundings.
This is a self-guided ATV tour so you can go anywhere.
Head to Malpais and Santa Teresa, our neighboring towns just a 45 minute ride away for lunch, a swim or surfing.
If you’re a hiker, Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve is down the road from Montezuma.
Make sure to apply sunblock and bring water with you.

Cabo Blanco National Park

The Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, which is located just 7km from Montezuma, is one of the most scenically beautiful areas of Costa Rica.
Cabo Blanco holds a special place in the history of National Parks in Costa Rica as it was the country’s first protected area, established in 1963.
The Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve consists of 1,270 hectares of mixed forest, which is classified as moist tropical forest and 1,790 hectares of protected ocean.
Open from 8am – 4pm (Closed Mondays & Tuesdays).

Night Walking Tour with Eduardo
When the sun goes down, many animals seek for refuge, other nocturnal animals such as insects and amphibians begin their activity and take advantage of the night to go unnoticed in search of food using sounds to communicate, protect their territory and attract a mate. We take small groups of tourists into the forest at night with flashlights and a tour guide searching for nocturnal animals such as Kinkajous, Armadillos, Anteaters, Owls, Frogs and many other species that are active at night.

Montezuma Waterfall

Hike to the famous 3 tier waterfall of Montezuma. Hike up the river path to enjoy the large swimming hole and the tallest waterfall. For the adventurous, you can climb to the top 2 pools but be prepared for a narrow path against the cliff. We discourage jumping from the rocks as it is slippery & dangerous.

El Chorro Waterfall

Visit one of our area’s famous waterfalls, one of the seven waterfalls in the world that drops into the ocean. A beautiful walk along deserted beaches & through jungle trails. Climb to the top for a break & a stunning panoramic view. We recommend to start your journey early in the morning when the temperature is cooler.

Playa Grande Activities

Enjoy the 25 minute walk weaving through the jungle paths and tropical beaches, you’ll arrive at a long and seemingly endless beach, great for sunbathing, boogie boarding or surfing. Soft, long rolling waves make this beach perfect for wading and swimming.
